McCain tries to smear Ron Paul
Filed Under History, Republican Party, Ron Paul | Leave a Comment
McCain is historically challenged, U.S. “isolationism” didn’t cause World War II. As Max Raskin says on the LRC Blog, “The first World War, and specifically America’s involvement, caused WW2. Thought I’d just state the obvious. Maybe Paul should assign McCain some new reading…let’s say a middle school history textbook?”
World War I was fought to a stalemate before the Wilson got the U.S. involved. Russia was bankrupt and wanted out of the war, but Wilson bribed the Russian government to stay in the war, which they did. They took the money even though the political situation was disintegrating. Lenin took this as a great opportunity for another attempt to overthrow the government. He was right, the Soviet Union was born.
With the help of the U.S., England and France won a decided victory against Germany and it’s allies. England and France pushed Wilson aside and imposed severe retributions against Germany which created a bubbling German resentment and Hitler’s rise to power.
Not isolationism, foreign intervention led to World War II.
I suggest McCain read Wilson’s War: How Woodrow Wilson’s Great Blunder Led to Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, and World War II
Also read Jim Powell’s essay, “What We Can Learn From Woodrow Wilson’s Great Blunder”

Pretty awful debate really all the way around. Some really stupid and irrelevant questions, like come on…Mars, and the Bible. I didn’t know these were major campaign issues.
Then there was the lopsided attention given to Guiliani, Romney and Thompson. A real debate should give equal time to each participant. Ron Paul, Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo really got cheated as shown by NBC’s Lauren Appelbaum on the MSNBC’s FirstRead Blog.
Giuliani — 16:38, during 20 times
Romney — 13:18, during 19 times
Thompson — 12:16, during 12 times
McCain — 11:00, during 12 times
Huckabee — 10:00, during 11 times
Paul — 7:43, during 9 times
Hunter — 5:06, during 7 times
Tancredo — 3:49, during 7 times
And then the awful post debate coverage. Jim Ostrowski caught the error as I did about the Philadelphia Rally. The one commentator (Jeffrey Toobin) said that Ron Paul was wrong about there being 5000 attendants at the rally. He said he was there and there were 2000. This was the same guy who thought it was crazy to think that the IRS should be abolished and that the NAFTA superhighway was a figment of Ron Paul’s imagination. Hey loser…Google “NAFTA superhighway”. Where do they dig up these clueless commentators?
Chime in on the CNN Debate Scorecard here.
And what about that bunch of “undecided Republicans” they assembled. No wonder they are undecided, they didn’t even know the candidates names or couldn’t pronounce their names. I think they should have more accurately described them as “clueless, uneducated, undecided Republicans.”

Ron Paul’s Texas Straight Talk Column
November 26, 2007
This past week Americans traveled approximately 2 billion miles to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with family and loved ones. While you cannot put a price on time with family, Americans sure felt the pain of higher fuel prices at the gas pump. It is time to take an honest look at the government’s direct and indirect role in inflating those prices.

Ron Paul Fundraising Goal - Only a lousy $3,000,000 to go

“Barack’s Friday” Bombed. I guess “Talk to people, share the story, inspire and be inspired.” is not too inspirational. What’s the message? Oh ya, more socialism.
“Fred’s Giving Day” gave out See Tom Wood’s report.
There are only we Ron Paul supporters that are really thankful that there is a REAL Conservative choice for President in 2008 I suppose.

Is Ron Paul ready to be airborne again? First there was the Manhattan rooftop emblazoned with the words “GOOGLE RON PAUL” in the hopes that passing aircraft would notice and take heed. Then there were the airplanes flying by with “Ron Paul for President!” on banners flying saucily in the sun. Now there is the Ron Paul Blimp.
