Oh, I’ve noticed, checking recent blogs, that since his successful rally in Philadelphia the professional Paul haters are getting even more heated up than usual — He is now, more than ever before, a religious bigot. He is also a Nazi. After all, isn’t anyone who would even question the annual unconditional gift of billions in American tax money to the Theocracy of Israel? His opposition to torture is, for the pro-Water-Boarding folk, another sure sign that he is unAmerican. Ah well, let’s see what happens.
Oops! Just noticed a recent blog that has Paul “implicitly supporting genocide” — Awk! From what tree are these nuts falling from?
I think you are talking partly about James Kirchick the “gay recovering leftist”. Kirchick is perfect for the neocon camp, since the founding neocon intellectuals are all militant ex-leftists. They splintered from the left because it just wasn’t militant enough for them.
He just writes ad hominem hit pieces that call anybody that isn’t a jackboot neocon a leftist.
Kirchick is Jewish too, but obviously not a member of Jews for Ron Paul 2008
Was George Washington a good president? After all he had the least experience. Yes he was a brilliant military man but he had nothing to go on but the constitution and the bill of rights. There was no one before him but a tyrant king. Plus the founders were looking toward him after an un-winnable war. Sound familiar.
Go to any website that has the declaration of independence, the constitution of the United States, and the bill of rights. Print them out and read it. It will only take a couple hours I promise you. (Our rights have been trampled on for over a hundred years, what are a couple hours.)
When politicians platform and promise us the moon, we believe or have hope in them because it sounds like a good idea at the time. “No new taxes!â€, “No child left behind!†and “We must improve our medi-care system!†Especially if it comes from the candidate and or party we loyally trust and traditionally vote for. Then when they can’t deliver what was promised we ether back them with excuses, or hang our head.
The patriot act. How can anyone down-play a blatant disregard of our individual rights, no matter if any of it sounds like a good idea. How can the word patriot even exist in that act? It goes against our very constitution and bill of rights. Period!
Everyone in little groups stand around the “water cooler†and complain about the policies, procedures, lies, and deceptions of our past and current politicians. Then when there is no rational we throw our hands in the air and say. “What can we do about it?†Now is your time to start a revolution and be a real patriot, because we will never get another chance to uphold the constitution and your rights again. The “experts†and the “media†claim Ron Paul will not win, and at best he will steal votes away from another candidate. Who are they to make a negative statement like that? Aren’t they supposed to be bias? Why can’t he win if we all vote for him? This would be a strong message to your state and local government. “Your next!â€
I was exactly like you, proud to serve a party that will hopefully bring us good government and take care of my affairs, while I go to work and take care of my family. How stupid was I not to take more seriously the liberty that government was stealing from me. Nibbling at it a few years at a time until all I do is work, and spend less time with my family. My paycheck does not rise with inflation and higher taxes, but the politicians can promote themselves without vote, a pay and pension rise.
Don’t let this true patriot get away from you! The original colonists had to stand bravely in the quaking fear of being killed against a massive army to ensure a new and free way of life. Who are we to idly stand by and let them be taken away because of disgust and cowardice? Yes, saying things like, (what can we do? Why bother, it’s no use?) Is a cowards answer.
You owe it to yourself to at least look at Ron Paul’s platform before you completely do something you, your children, and theirs will regret. >Ronpaul2008.com
